The studio.

A quiet home studio in Battersea, SW11 — built for the one thing colour analysis requires: neutral, north-facing daylight.

Colour analysis depends on light. Not studio lighting, not a ring light, not a warmly decorated interior — but neutral, north-facing daylight, which is the only light that reads skin colour without distortion. Fluorescent strips skew everything green. Warm tungsten skews yellow. LED is unpredictable. The studio is positioned beside a north-facing window with neutral cream walls, and no overhead lighting is used during the appointment.

The room contains a coat hook, a kettle, a generous mirror, a comfortable chair, and a wooden rail of several hundred professional colour drapes. There is no waiting room, because there is no waiting — appointments run on time and end on time. There is no shop, no retail, no team. It is one room, with one practitioner, and a carefully assembled set of fabrics.

The studio is in a private residence on Chatham Road — a quiet street a few minutes' walk from Northcote Road, in the area between Clapham Common and Wandsworth Common. It is private, comfortable, and accessible. Full directions are included in the booking confirmation.
