§ · The process
What happens in two and a half hours.
An unhurried, eight-part appointment at the Battersea studio. The method is the same for every client; the conclusions are particular to you.
-
i.
Arrival10 min
You arrive at the studio. Coat, tea, a short chat about what brought you here and what you hope to get out of the morning. I walk you through what the next two and a half hours will look like.
-
ii.
Preparation5 min
You sit in front of a north-facing window with a neutral grey cape over your clothing. Hair is pinned away if needed. No makeup, no self-tan — we need to see your skin as it truly is.
-
iii.
Undertone30 min
We begin with warm-versus-cool drapes to establish your undertone. Silver against gold, rose against peach, warm white against cool white. You watch in the mirror; I watch your skin. The answer reveals itself.
-
iv.
Value30 min
Light versus deep. We drape across the full value range to see where your skin, hair, and eyes sit. Most clients land surprisingly clearly on one side once we see the drapes next to the face.
-
v.
Chroma25 min
Bright versus soft. The finishing axis, and the one that most often surprises. This is what separates a True Spring from a Light Spring, or a Soft Summer from a True Summer.
-
vi.
Sub-season placement15 min
Combining undertone, value, and chroma places you in one of the twelve sub-seasons. I explain the reasoning, you ask questions, and we look at your full palette together for the first time.
-
vii.
Wow colours15 min
Within your palette, we identify the specific shades that produce the strongest "wow" response — the colours that genuinely lift the face rather than simply harmonise. These are the ones worth investing in first.
-
viii.
Profile20 min
We walk through your printed, hand-bound colour profile — palette, wardrobe pairings, makeup, metals and jewellery, hair notes, contrast, and what to avoid. You leave with the booklet and an optional fabric-swatch booklet to take shopping. A digital copy arrives by email within 48 hours.
